Obituary: Nancy Lakowsky Jarvis, 52, of Uncasville
When she came into any room it would come to life and make everyone smile.

Nancy Jane Lakowsky Jarvis born February 13, 1964 to Harry and Ellen Lakowsky of Uncasville, CT., passed away on December 16, 2016 at L&M Hospital in New London surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Nancy is survived by her four children, Robert (Bobby) Peters, Jeanette, Jainie and Donald John (DJ) Jarvis. Nancy left behind three grandchildren who were the light of her life; Jason, Layla and Ariana. She is joining in heaven her brother Richard, grandparents John and Alice Lakowsky and Joseph and Mary Harris and one of her best friend's and cousin, Doug Peckham.Nancy was loved by her immediate and extended family. Her sisters, Gale (Rod) Watson, Kathy (Antonio) Donis, Cindy (Todd) Jackson, Cheryl (Dave) Laffey, Sally (Mickey) Lewis, Diane (Bill) Barlow, Debbie (George) Bridgham, Mary (Francie) Lakowsky-Hansen and Karen(Kevin) Ennis; brothers Gary (Nancy), Bobby (Gwen), Tom (Tina) and Donald (Peggy). Nancy was cherished and loved by all of her 91 nieces and nephews.

Nancy's passing leaves a void in the life of her friend Dan Wilson and his daughters Ashley, Vanessa and son Chance, with who she made a home with for 15 years. She was blessed with the miracle of life for 52 years. Everyone will remember her for her infectious laughter. When she came into any room it would come to life and make everyone smile.
Thanks to all her friends who supported and cared for her. A special thanks to the staff, nurses and doctors at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital ICU and 5.2 for their kindness and care during her stay.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial will be private.
