Puppy Rescued From Well In Montville
A puppy has been reunited with her owner after falling into a well.
MONTVILLE, CT — A pit bull puppy, named Rizzo, ran away Sunday night and went missing. She was found by two fishermen who happened to be fishing near a well, where Rizzo had fallen 20 feet, according to The New London Day.
The dog was rescued by Montville Police and Animal Control, the Montville Fire Department, and the Mohegan Tribal Fire Department's space rescue team. The responders used a rope system to get one of their members down into the well, The Day reported.
The puppy was later reunited with her owner.
