Tool Theft Results in Arrest of Uncasville Man

A man allegedly stole $5,000 in tools from an Old Lyme garage. He was convicted of larceny in the past, in Waterford and Clinton cases.

Uncasville resident Johnathan Mazzella, 30, was arrested on April 19, on a charge of fourth-degree larceny.

According to The Day, Mazzella allegedly stole approximately $5,000 worth of tools from a garage in Old Lyme. The owner of the equipment is RJA Construction Co.’s Robert Antoniac.

Ten tools total were reported stolen from the garage, at a value of more than $5,000. Owner Antoniac reportedly visited Gold Star Pawn of Groton and found one of his saws for sale.

Mazzella was convicted in the past, for larceny in the fifth-degree. He also has a case in court, charging him with burglary in the third degree, forgery in the third degree and larceny in the sixth degree.
