Winter Team State Championship History: St. Bernard, Montville
St. Bernard and Montville high school squads have accounted for 13 state team championships in winters past.
MONTVILLE, CT — As practices for high school winter sports officially get underway in Connecticut Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the 13 CIAC winter team titles won by St. Bernard and Montville high schools in past years (* - indicates a co-op team).
