Woman Charged With Driving Wrong Way, DUI In Montville
A Rhode Island woman was charged after police said she drove the wrong way for about 10 miles.
MONTVILLE, CT — A Rhode Island woman was charged after police said she drove the wrong way on Route 2A and I-395 for about 10 miles. Madison Jamak, 25, of 54 Jane St. in North Providence, was charged with reckless driving, DUI, and second-degree reckless endangerment.
State police received a call at about 2:50 a.m. Wednesday reporting a car driving the wrong way on Route 2A in Montville. Police were not able to locate the car initially.
A short while later, troopers found car traveling northbound in the southbound lane in the area of Exit 14 on I-395.

Troopers' initial efforts to get the driver to stop were unsuccessful. As the car approached Exit 18, troopers place themselves in the direct path of the car, causing it to stop.
Jamak failed field sobriety tests, then was arrested and transported to Troop E for processing, according to police.

She was released on $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 9.
