Man Pulls Out 'Handgun' At Gas Station, Gets Arrested: Naugatuck PD

The incident occurred Wednesday morning in Naugatuck.

NAUGATUCK, CT — While paying for gas at an Express Mart in Naugatuck, a 43-year-old local man decided to pull out a handgun and show it the clerk, which eventually led to customer being arrested on weapons charges, according to police.

Alberto Rodriguez Jr., of Round Tree Drive, pulled out the gun during a conversation with the clerk Wednesday morning just before 9 a.m.

He soon left, and police said that "at no time did the accused make any threats or point the handgun at the employee."

Police went to to Rodriguez's home, and interviewing him officers discovered that the handgun was a BB gun.

  • Breach of Peace
  • Weapons in a vehicle

He was released after appearing in court on Thursday; the current status of his case was not immediately known.
