2,300+ Without Power In New Canaan Thursday: Eversource
The town and the rest of the region continues to dig out from Wednesday's snow storm.

NEW CANAAN, CT — More than 2,300 Eversource customers in New Canaan were without power as of 12:49 p.m. on Thursday, according to the utility company, as the town continues to dig out from Wednesday's snow storm.
Local schools were closed for the second day Thursday, and a significant number of roads were blocked by downed trees and wires, according to the New Canaan Police Department.
Over 100 roads impassable, 35% town without power, crews working to open up roads for emergency vehicle access, all downed wires are live - stay clear, call 203 594 4100 and use 911 for life-threatening emergencies. Please be safe!

The New Canaan Advertiser reported that Fire Chief Jack Hennessey cut a video cautioning residents about the hazardous road conditions.

Adjacent Stamford also reported a large number of outages Thursday, more than 3,100.
