Bicyclist Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash In New Canaan: PD
New Canaan police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver who fled Wednesday after hitting the cyclist on Smith Ridge Road.
NEW CANAAN, CT — A bicyclist suffered abrasions and other unknown injuries Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on Smith Ridge Road in New Canaan, according to police.
The crash occurred just before 1 p.m. in the 500 block of Smith Ridge Road. Both the cyclist, a 56-year-old Ridgefield man, and the motorist were traveling northbound.
The injured cyclist was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment and further evaluation, police said. His condition was not disclosed.

New Canaan police are asking for the public's help in finding the motorist.
"Based on witness statements a possible suspect vehicle is a grey colored older model sedan or SUV with New York license plates, possibly beginning with GHE," police said.
