Children of the American Revolution Help Prevent Children's Cancer

Connecticut Chapter Supports the American Cancer Society

In celebration of Independence Day, the American Cancer Society recognizes the Connecticut Society of the Children of the American Revolution (CAR) for their contribution earlier this year to pediatric cancer. The gift was presented by CAR State President Morgan Fischer of Greenwich and CAR State Treasurer Sarah Harris of New Canaan State Treasurer to John Brannelly, the American Cancer Society’s Director of Major Gifts at CAR’s 91st State Conference in Norwalk, CT.

As the largest voluntary health organization in the world, the American Cancer Society is passionately committed to saving lives and ending suffering from cancer. The Society is helping people stay well, helping people get well, finding cures, and fighting back. Thanks in part to this work, more than 14 million cancer survivors and countless others who have avoided the disease will celebrate a birthday this year.
