NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan residents can sign up to have their Christmas trees removed and recycled this month.

The New Canaan Christmas Tree Removal group, which has been in business for five years, will pick up the tree for a fee and turn it into mulch for the New Canaan Nature Center in a partnership with Planet New Canaan.

Prices start at $20 for a tree 4 feet or under, and wreaths or garlands can cost extra depending on how many are included with a tree.

"It's a win all around-help a college student earn money, cross something off your to-do list and help the Nature Center improve their trails!" organizers wrote on Facebook. "Satisfaction guaranteed. You pay after we pick up your tree. We even blow the needles off your driveway!"
