Country School Celebrates Earth Day by Recycling Books
Thousands of books were collected for recycling in honor of Earth Day.
From New Canaan Country School: New Canaan Country School students review some of the thousands of books collected for recycling in honor of Earth Day. “The kids get a first-hand, tangible experience recycling something they enjoy – books,” said Lower School Librarian Jean Stevens of Westport, who has been organizing the Earth Day initiative for more than twenty years. “They understand that what’s old to someone else is new to them and others.”
