Country School Students Support Local Food Bank
New Canaan Country School students recently collected 2,240 pounds of canned and dry food in support of Lower Fairfield County Food Bank.

NEW CANAAN, CT - New Canaan Country School students in grades 1 through 9 recently collected 2,240 pounds of canned and dry food in support of The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, which provides nutritious food to non-profit organizations serving under-resourced communities. The effort, which culminated over the past two weeks, is part of the school’s annual commitment to respond to needs identified by our community partners. “Providing hands-on activities such as this provides a unique opportunity to teach personal and social responsibility, as well as to inspire students to make a positive contribution to the world” said Country School’s Director of Community Development Lynn Sullivan.
