Eversource Continues Natural Gas Project In New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, CT — The following is an updated announcement from Eversource concerning where crews will be installing natural gas lines in New Canaan through Sept. 15. Traffic along some routes will be impacted during the construction:

Crew 1
Main Street to Maple Street: 8/24/2018 to 9/8/2018*
South Avenue to YMCA: 9/6/2018 to 9/11/2018**
Orchard Lane: 9/12/2018 to 9/12/2018
Autumn Lane: 9/13/2018 to 9/15/2018

Crew 2
563-589 Hoyt Street (Darien): 8/23/2018 to 9/5/2018

Crew 3
336-363 Hoyt Street (Darien): 8/23/2018 to 9/6/2018

Crew 4
South Avenue @ Farm Road Intersection: 8/25/2018 to 8/31/2018
Route 106 @ Jelliff Mill Road to Barringer Road: 8/26/2018 to 9/8/2018

*Work is starting on Main Street at Farm Road and moving toward Maple Street. The road will be open to school buses and alternating one-way traffic will be maintained outside of school bus hours.

**Work will be on South Avenue from the Farm Road intersection and moving toward the YMCA. However, since the majority of work in this section is off the road, any impact on traffic flow should be minimal.
