Connecticut Weather Forecast: What To Expect For Memorial Day Weekend
There's plenty of rain chances in the upcoming forecast but we'll let you know what to expect for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.

Make sure you keep the umbrella nearby this week you're going to need it quite a bit, but there is definitely a silver lining in the weather forecast for Connecticut. As of right now, and we know things change rapidly when it comes to weather forecasts, but the Memorial Day weekend looks to be largely sunny and most importantly, free of rain.
It's not going to be excessively hot either with temps largely in the low to mid 70s through the holiday weekend. But before we get to the upcoming holiday weekend, we could see periods of rain all five days this week, according to the National Weather Service. Thursday and Friday appear to the the rainiest. WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, "Well the rain will be coming back in for the afternoon today! Plan on a chilly feel with high temperatures only in the upper 50s. Clouds tomorrow maybe a brief shower with high temperatures around 70. Nice weather Wednesday afternoon followed by rain coming back in for Thursday and Friday."

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote, "A lot of clouds today but not a whole lot of rain. It looks like the heaviest rain stays south and most of us only see occasional light rain later today."

Here's the updated forecast via the National Weather Service:
Today: A chance of rain in the afternoon. Colder, temps only near 60 degrees. More rain and possibly thunderstorms tonight.
Tuesday: Chance of some afternoon showers but we should also see the sun too and temps moderate to 70 degrees. More rain showers possible Tuesday night.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, 40 percent chance of more rain. High near 70 degrees.
Thursday: You guessed it, more showers, temps in the upper 60s only.
Friday: Showers and thunderstorms likely during the day.
Memorial Day Weekend:
Saturday: Sunshine temps in the mid to upper 70s.
Sunday: Partly sunny and temps in the low 70s.
Memorial Day: Partly sunny and temps near 70 degrees, according to the Weather Channel.
