Graduate Of New Canaan HS Wins Academy Award: Report

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 1980s graduate of New Canaan High School won an Academy Award for film editing at Sunday night's Oscars ceremony.
Michael McCusker, who also graduated from Emerson College in 1988, won for his work on the Matt Damon/Christian Bale film "Ford v Ferrari," writes the New Canaan Advertiser.
McCusker shared the award with editing partner Andrew Buckland, and it marked the second time that McCusker was nominated for an Oscar. In 2005, he was nominated for his editing work on the Joaquin Phoenix "Walk the Line" about the life of Country star Johnny Cash.
