Historic Ferris Hill Road House Saved

A New Canaan couple will purchase the nearly 300-year-old building.

NEW CANAAN, CT- New Canaan couple Emily and Tom Nissley have entered into a contract that will preserve the Ferris Hill Road farmhouse built in 1735.

The Nissleys will hold the property title while a preservation easement is worked out, according to the New Canaanite.

The house will be rented and will be placed on the market for sale for a buyer who appreciates the historical value.

About three months ago the property owner filed an application to demolish the home after he wasn't able to win approval to build another home on the lot.
