A Stamford landscaping crew conducting work on Middle Ridge Road in New Canaan reported a theft of equipment to police while the crew was in a backyard working, police said this week.
According to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc, a leaf blower was stolen from the front yard of a residence on Monday, Dec. 2, while the crew was in the backyard. The business owner reported the theft at approximately 3:55 p.m.
When the owner returned to the front yard, he noticed one of two leaf blowers missing, a Red Max EBZ7100 model valued at approximately $500.
The incident remains under investigation.
