Maddie Haley has been chosen as the New Canaan High School Ram of the Week for the week ending October 23. Her coach stated, "Maddie is committed to the team and will do whatever the team needs to be successful. She is one of the most versatile swimmers to go through the program and can compete at the top level in nearly every event. Her work ethic is unparalleled and she leads by example. Despite her many individual successes, she’s has remained humble and is genuinely interested in and celebrates the achievements of every girl on the team. She’s been a reliable and exemplary captain."
The Athletic Department recently implemented this award to honor an athlete who has exemplified the Athletic Department’s core values of Responsibility, Accountability, Motivation and Strength of Character. The specific criteria as follows:
- Exemplary contributions to the team both on and off the field/court
- Putting the needs of the team before themselves
- Displaying a positive attitude and enthusiasm for their sport both on and off the field, court, or pool.
