New Canaan Woman Arrested After Causing Disturbance: Police
Police said the woman pushed and kicked officers during and after she was taken into custody.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A New Canaan woman was arrested early Sunday after causing a disturbance she began knocking on the door of a home on Lambert Road, according to police.
Police officers were called to the home at about 1:23 a.m. and spotted the woman who had been knocking on the door, later identified as Kristina L. Defosset, 37, of Brookwood Lane, getting into a vehicle parked nearby.

The vehicle was stopped by the officers who began speaking to the operator, (removed). During the conversation, officers "detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from (removed) breath," according to police.
(removed) was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, a charge later dismissed, but while this was going on, Kristina Defosset "exited the vehicle and began approaching (removed) and the arresting officers while yelling obscenities."

"Kristina did not obey commands by the officers to stop approaching (removed) and she pushed away officers as they tried to restrain her," wrote New Canaan police in a statement. Eventually, officers were able to handcuff her and take her into custody.
While at police headquarters, she "refused to cooperate when given instructions and she kicked and tried to pull away from officers."
Kristina Defosset was charged with interfering with an officer and second-degree breach of peace and was released after posting a $1,000 bond. After he was charged with the above-listed violation, (removed) refused to submit to a blood alcohol test at police headquarters and was released on a promise to appear in court.
DEfosset was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 4.
