​New Canaan Students Honored at University of Scranton

Gregory Wagner was among 60 members of The University of Scranton's class of 2017 honored for academic excellence, service, or both.

From the University of Scranton: Gregory A. Wagner of New Canaan was among 60 members of The University of Scranton's undergraduate class of 2017 honored for academic excellence, service or both at Class Night on May 26 on campus.

Students with the highest GPA in each of the University's three undergraduate colleges were presented Frank J. O'Hara Awards for General Academic Excellence, a memorial to the late administrator who served the University for 53 years. Students were also recognized for excellence within their various disciplines.
Wagner was the recipient of the Excellence in International Studies Award. He graduated magna cum laude with a major in international studies with a concentration in asian studies and a minor in Chinese.

Wagner is a member of the Alpha Mu Gamma, Pi Gamma Mu and Alpha Alpha Sigma honor societies. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and College Republicans. He is also a member of the International Club and the Philosophy Society. Wagner has studied abroad in Beijing, China and Taipei, Taiwan. Upon graduation, he will be pursuing employment in International Affairs. Wagner is a graduate of New Canaan High School, New Canaan, Connecticut.
