New Canaan's 2017 4th Of July Fireworks Schedule Released

The popular event attracts thousands each Independence Day.

NEW CANAAN, CT -- The town will host its 37th annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration on Tuesday, July 4, New Canaan officials announced.

The event will be held at Waveny Park, and the rain date will be Wednesday, July 5.

Among the activities scheduled will be "family picnicking, live music, children's games area, food court, and a spectacular fireworks display," wrote organizers.

Event passes are necessary to enter the park both by car or walking and may be purchased at the Recreation Department Office, Town Hall, and by New Canaan residents online at www.newcanaan.info The Family Fourth of July Celebration is made possible entirely through contributions from New Canaan residents, the business community, and local civic organizations.

For 2017, the pass fee is $35 for residents.
