Officials Celebrate As Construction Begins On New Canaan Affordable Housing
A celebration at Mill Apartments marked the start of more affordable housing coming to the town.
A groundbreaking event at Mill Apartments Wednesday marked the start of construction on dozens of affordable homes for the town, as reported by News 12 Connecticut.
The celebration included local and state officials, including Governor Dan Malloy. He expressed joy that the state could support the program, according to News 12 Connecticut.
The new development will add 73 new housing units to the 40 already in place, News 12 Connecticut reported. Some of the new units are expected to be added by the end of the year.
