NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan Animal Control is asking for the public's help in finding the owner of a cat recently found near Husted Lane, authorities announced.

The female cat is described as a domestic short hair tri-color Tabby. She was wearing a distinctive black collar with a skull and cross bones design.

"The cat accidentally scratched a New Canaan resident on Friday 08/07/2020 and is being quarantined until the owner is located," authorities said.
