Police Respond to Two Marijuana-Related Incidents
Officers issued an infraction and a misdemeanor summons.

Ian Conway, 21, of Stamford was issued an infraction for possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on White Oak Shade Road on Monday, Nov. 12 at 9:45 p.m.
According to police, officers stopped Conway because the rear license plate wasn’t illuminated. Upon investigation, officers detected the odor of marijuana emenating from the vehicle. The driver admitted he had a pipe and a grinder, both which had marijuana residue on them.
Conway was also issued a verbal warning for defective lights.

On Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 5:19 p.m., New Canaan Police stopped a vehicle on Oenoke Lane near Seminary Street after it failed to stop at a stop sign.

The officer checked the driver’s license, and subsequently determined it was suspended. Â
The officer then asked if there was any contraband in the vehicle, and the driver consented to have his car searched.
Robert J Gennaro, Jr., 21, of New Canaan was found to be in possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a glass jar with a small amount of marijuana in it and a pipe were found.
He was also charged with driving with a suspended license, a misdemeanor, and given a verbal warning for the stop sign violation.
