Pro Vocal Artist & Author Joins Performing Arts Conservatory
The Conservatory, beginning its 17th year, welcomes professional singer & author Jaime Babbitt to their professional voice teachers.

The Performing Arts Conservatory of New Canaan, (Conservatory) beginning its 17 th year, welcomes professional singer Jaime Babbitt to their highly experienced professional voice teachers. Jaime has been a professional vocalist since age 15, and has studied at Mannes College of Music, Columbia University and privately with New York’s finest coaches. As a New York City session singer/voiceover artist, she’s sung and recorded national TV and radio campaigns for Coke, Pillsbury, Chevy, Folgers, Denny’s, Kellogg’s, Claritin, Jell-o and hundreds more.
Babbitt has coached voice and performance as a Musical Director for Disney in Los Angeles and authored a book on singing "Working With Your Voice: The Career Guide to Becoming a Professional Singer" (Alfred Publishing). “Jaime takes a holistic approach to voice coaching, working on the mind, body and spirit. She caters to each student personally, creating unique warmups and song selections for everyone”, explains Melody Meitrott Libonati, director of the Conservatory. “The Performing Arts Conservatory is delighted to have Jamie available to teach our students.”
Babbit has performed around the country and world and toured as a vocalist with Leon Russell, Sam Moore, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, and Jimmy Webb. Digitally, she has sung with Courtney Love, George Strait, Barbra Streisand, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Webb, Miley & Billy Ray Cyrus, Johnny Mathis and many others. She also plays guitar and keys professionally and has done so both with her original band and in “World Turning”, a Nashville-based Fleetwood Mac tribute band.

Dedicated to teaching children and adults in healthy vocal performance techniques and styles, including Pop, Rock, R&B, metal, punk and musical theatre. Jaime Babbitt joins a team of vocal teachers that include Jodi Stevens, Richard Weidlich, Ellen Sisson and Melody Meitrott Libonati.
The Conservatory, located at 70 Pine Street, begins their fall season the week of September 3.
