Six Greenwich Teens Caught with Alcohol at NCHS
The incident happened after police saw a car going the wrong way down a one-way road.

Six Greenwich teenagers—four females and two males—were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor after police pulled over a vehicle going the wrong way down a one-way road on the high school campus on Friday, Nov. 16 at 4:35 p.m.
According to police, the car’s operator—a 16-year-old female who had just gotten her license in May—had five passengers in her vehicle, despite not being legally allowed to have any passengers until having her license for a year.

When officers interviewed her, they detected the odor of alcohol emanating from her vehicle. A search revealed a bottle of vodka that was partially full in one of the backpacks of a passenger.
Nobody directly claimed responsibility for the vodka, so all six youths were charged with the possession of it.

The driver—who had not been drinking—was also issued infractions for a one-way violation and transporting more passengers than the number of seatbelts.Â
