Connecticut Weather Forecast: Snowy Morning Commute Expected
Be prepared for snow when you wake up tomorrow morning and head off to work. Here's the latest details on how much and the exact timing.

The National Weather Service has issued a "Special Weather Statement" for Connecticut in advance of what is expected to be a slippery commute Thursday morning. The entire state could see accumulating snow during the morning commute.
For Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties, the National Weather Service states, "Light snow is expected to develop overnight and continue into portions of the morning commute. Around 1 to potentially 2 inches of snow is forecast. Roadways may become snow covered which may create a slippery morning commute. Motorists are urged to use extra caution if traveling Thursday morning.
For Hartford and Tolland counties, the National Weather Service states, "Light snow will overspread Connecticut, Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts between 4 AM and 7 AM. A band of moderate snow will likely then develop between 7 AM and 10 AM along the immediate south coast and islands, then quickly moving offshore by midday with dry weather to follow. This band of moderate snow will likely result in snow accumulations of 1-3 inches..."

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan said, "A very dry/fluffy snowfall tomorrow morning. Easy to move but still slippery." He is predicting 1 to 3 inches for the southern portion of the state and up to an inch of snow in northern Connecticut.
WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Fred Campagna said, "Snow totals have been raised a bit for Thursday morning. Big fluff factor with this one. Slippery morning commute. Starts 12am-3am, ends 8-10 am."

Tonight: Snow, mainly after 2am. Low around 23. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 6 to 11 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
Thursday: Snow, mainly before 10am. High near 32. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Northwest wind 5 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 17. Northwest wind 7 to 13 mph.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 32. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 30. West wind 3 to 8 mph.

Tonight: A chance of flurries before midnight, then snow likely, mainly after 4am. Increasing clouds, with a low around 20. West wind 6 to 11 mph becoming light southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Thursday: A chance of snow, mainly before 10am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 30. Light north wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 13. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
