St. Luke?s School has two upcoming winter musicals, Chicago: Teen Edition and Honk! Jr.

This weekend, St. Luke?s Upper School will show off their razzle-dazzle in the musical production of Chicago: Teen Edition. Taking place in the Roaring Twenties, Chicago chorus girl Roxie Hart is convicted and sent to death row for killing her faithless lover. There, Roxie and another murderer, Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of their "American Dream" ? fame, fortune, and acquittal. Their conniving antics are shared through song, dance, and all that jazz. There are three performances?Friday, Feb. 25 at 7:00pm and Saturday, Feb. 26 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. Please be aware that Chicago contains themes and images that may be sensitive and/or uncomfortable for some audience members and inappropriate for some ages.

Next weekend is the St. Luke?s Middle School production of Honk! Jr. - a musical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen?s ?The Ugly Duckling.? The main character, Ugly, is different from his duckling siblings. This leads to an adventure of self-discovery, the chance to meet other unique characters, and the challenge of evading a hungry cat. Messages about bullying and inclusion are woven throughout this entertaining tale. There are two chances to catch this fun-for-all-ages event?Friday, March 4 at 7:00pm and Saturday, March 5 at 3:00pm.
St. Luke's winter musicals are free admission and open to the public. No tickets are required. They will be performed in St. Luke's Seldin Performing Arts Center, 377 N. Wilton Road in New Canaan. Vaccinations are required for all eligible audience members.
