FARMINGTON, CT — An excavator has been brought in at 80 Mountain Spring Road in Farmington Wednesday as part of the ongoing search for Jennifer Farber Dulos, writes NBC Connecticut.

State police detectives were at the property, formerly owned by Jennifer Dulos' estranged husband, the late Fotis Dulos, on Tuesday and returned with the excavator on Wednesday. Authorities have not disclosed if anything has been found at the property, which is slated for sale.

At brief news conference Wednesday at the property, Connecticut State Police Trooper Josue Dorelus did not offer any updates about what might have been found at the site, but said efforts to find clues would continue.

"Our main goal is to work to give the family of Jennifer Dulos sense of closure, which is why we're here, continuing to investigate this disappearance," Dorelus said.

Jennifer Dulos disappeared from her New Canaan home on May 24, 2019, and has not been found. She is presumed to be dead, and Fotis Dulos was charged with kidnapping and murdering her. He took his own life in January 2020 before he could stand trial.

On Tuesday, state police detectives were spotted digging several holes at the Mountain Spring Road property and using specialized scanning equipment, writes WFSB-TV.

Additionally, Bob Perry, a nationally recognized bone expert, was brought in to examine the site. He told NBC Connecticut that at least four different places on the property appeared to have been disturbed.

Those are among the places where authorities will dig for clues.

Fotis Dulos was not the only person accused in the criminal plot to kill Jennifer Dulos. Two other suspects were accused of conspiracy to commit murder, ex-girlfriend Michelle Troconis and former friend Kent Mawhinney, and their cases are pending.
