Storm Damage Closes CT State Parks

Several state parks are closed after heavy damage from the storm.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has closed seven state parks after heavy damage from Tuesday's storm.

The closed parks include:

  • Sleeping Giant, Hamden
  • Chatfield Hollow, Killingworth
  • Kettletown, Southbury
  • Southford Falls, Oxford
  • Squantz Pond, New Fairfield
  • Putnam Memorial, Redding
  • Wharton Brook, Wallingford

Additional parks may be added to the list as damage assessments continue.
