NEW CANAAN, CT — A 59-year-old Stamford man was arrested on a warrant charging him with second-degree breach of peace in connection with what New Canaan police referred to as a "road rage incident" from November.
Eric C. Berkeley, of Briarwood Lane, surrendered to New Canaan police Tuesday, and he was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 29.
New Canaan police said the incident occurred on Frogtown Road near the entrance to New Canaan Country School.

"According to the complaint, while the victim's car was waiting in a pickup line on Frogtown Road, Berkeley boxed in the victim's vehicle and exited his car walking over to the victim's vehicle," police said. "Berkeley attempted to open the driver's side door of the victim's vehicle and was yelling at the victim. The victim was in fear of what Berkeley might do."
Police said that Berkeley claimed he was "upset about how the victim's vehicle was driving on Ponus Ridge Road," and then confronted the victim later on Frogtown Road.
