Two Basketball Players Honored by NCHS

The New Canaan High School Athletic Department has chosen two varsity basketball players as their Rams of the Week.

In two games, against two top five rank teams in the state, Quinn McKiernan (Senior, Girls Varsity Basketball) had 20 rebounds, 22 points and 6 steals. She was an instrumental part of almost upsetting both Ridgefield and Staples this past week. Both of these teams were undefeated and ranked in the state polls. She is the team’s senior leader and captain.

Denis Mulcahy (Senior, Boys Varsity Basketball) had two huge games for the Rams against Staples and Ridgefield as he helped lead the team to victory. “Usually known for getting his teammates open with his screens and his dominance on the glass, Denis was our leading scorer in both games and was extremely efficient from the field. Denis has become an excellent basketball player, but has always been a better person.”
