Volunteers Sought For Memorial Day Flag Placement In New Canaan
To honor fallen soldiers this holiday weekend.
NEW CANAAN, CT — Volunteers are wanted this weekend to assist VFW Post 653 in New Canaan place new flags at the graves of fallen soldiers in their honor for Memorial Day, according to a post on the New Canaan Police Department's Twitter and Instagram pages.
All are welcome to participate on Saturday, May 26, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery on Main Street in New Canaan. Refreshments will be served.
