Waveny LifeCare Teams Up With Visiting Nurse & Hospice
The two health care companies have signed a letter of intent to unite.
NEW CANAAN, CT — New Canaan-based Waveny LifeCare Network and Wilton-based Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County have signed a letter of intent to merge operations, the two announced this month.
The move combines two health care companies that specialize in assisting elderly patients in facilities and through home care efforts.
"The organizations intend to enter into a formal Affiliation Agreement by year end 2020, subject to final due diligence, regulatory approvals and final board approvals," officials said. "The parties propose for [Visting Nurse] to initially become a wholly-owned subsidiary of [Waveny LifeCare], but plan to explore the opportunity of formally merging operations with [Waveny LifeCare]’s affiliate, Waveny Home Healthcare, at a later date."
