NEW CANAAN, CT — Chief State's Attorney Richard Colangelo would consider plea deals in the Jennifer Farber Dulos case for either Michelle Troconis or Kent Mawhinney, the two surviving suspects in the 18-month-long disappearance of the New Canaan mother-of-five.

Colangelo made the remark during an interview on the CBS true crime show "48 Hours," which aired an hour-long episode over the weekend devoted to the case. Click here to view the show.

Both Troconis and Mawhinney have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, and are accused of assisting the late Fotis Dulos in a plot to kidnap and murder Jennifer Dulos, Fotis' estranged wife.

"If either one of them came up with information that led to finding Jennifer, would there be a deal for them?" CBS News correspondent Erin Moriarty asked Colangelo about Troconis and Mawhinney. Both have pleaded not guilty.

"Believe it or not, I'm a very open-minded person, so I'm not going to close the door on anything," Colangelo said.

"I will take that as a yes," Moriarty said. "That's how much you would like to know where Jennifer is?"

"Absolutely," Colangelo added.

Troconis' attorney, Jon Schoenhorn, claims that Mawhinney may have tried to implicate Troconis in the plot. Mawhinney spent more than nine months in jail before he was able to bond out, and he is expected to testify against Troconis at trial.

The "48 Hours" episode also included Troconis' father and sisters defending her against the charges, and remarks from members of law enforcement about the case.

Also featured in the episode are interviews with Carrie Luft, a friend of Jennifer Dulos and spokesperson for the Farber family, and Fotis Dulos' sister, Rena Dulos Kyrimi.
