Connecticut Weather: Record Highs Today, Ice Concerns Tomorrow

From 70 degrees today to icing concerns tomorrow. You can't make this stuff up.

And you thought winter was over? Many places in Connecticut will shatter records today for high temperatures. Some areas could exceed 70 degrees. So right on cue, most areas in Connecticut could see periods of ice on Thursday. You have to love New England weather where the only constant is its unpredictability.

The National Weather Service says Connecticut can expect temps in the 60s at the coast and into the 70s in northern areas of the state on Wednesday. But on Thursday, temps will plummet and by late morning and evening rain moves into the state but there may be some sleet mixing in throughout the state.

The best chance for a period of icing is away from the immediate coast but even at the coast some sleet may mix in for a period of time on Thursday night. Temperatures will fall into the 30s by Thursday afternoon.
