NEW CANAAN, CT — A once-dilapidated Greek revival-style farmhouse on Main Street in New Canaan is being rebuilt, courtesy of the popular PBS show "This Old House" and renowned New Canaan-based custom home builder Karp Associates.

The home was originally built in 1780, and the project marks the show's fifth "Idea House" renovation. Fans of the show can view the progress of the rebuild via a webcam on the show's website.

"Plans are to save the historic façade, but downsize to 6,000-square-feet and modernize with the latest and best building materials today," show officials wrote in a statement.

The listing is held by Halstead's Penne Brooks Weicker, but pricing information for the home was not available. According to the New Canaan Advertiser, the home will host its Grand Opening Reveal event on Sept. 14-15.
