April 1 Is the Deadline For Real Estate, Personal Property & Supplemental Motor Vehicle Taxes
There will be no exceptions.

Notice is hereby given to Newington taxpayers the second installment of the Real Estate and Personal Property and Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax bills which were originally due on January 1, 2021 were extended to April 1, 2021 due to Governor Lamont’s Executive Order No. 9R. The last day for payment is April 1st. If the January 1st taxes are not paid on or before April 1, 2021, they will be considered delinquent and interest will be charged back to the original due date of January 1st at the rate of 1.5% each month. There will be no exceptions.

Payments may be mailed to the Tax Office, 200 Garfield St., Newington CT 06111, dropped off in the Tax Payment box located in the parking lot across from the Police Station or online (with service fee) at www.newingtonct.gov Revenue/Tax Dept. - Tax Payments. Please read all information before making a payment. If a taxpayer has been delinquent and requires a release with the Motor Vehicle Dept. or to make a vehicle purchase, payment must be made by bank check or money order. All motor vehicle taxes must be current for the release. NO Debit or Credit Cards can be accepted in the Tax Office or by telephone.
If a taxpayer no longer has a vehicle or is no longer in business, contact Assessor’s Office at 860-665-8530.
