Batteries Plus Bulbs Opens First Store in Newington

According to a nationwide survey conducted by Batteries Plus Bulbs, the nation's only battery, light bulb and phone repair franchise, 31 percent of Americans have broken their phone in the past year, but 65 percent don't have insurance to cover the repairs.

With the opening of the specialty retailer's first store in Newington – and the third one in the state, with stores in Orange and Manchester – locals will now have access to product experts and a wide array of specialized options for fixing phones, as well as purchasing automotive batteries, powering essential electronics, and lighting homes and businesses. The new location, like all Batteries Plus Bulbs stores, will offer an unrivaled product selection, in-stock availability, and customer service.

The store, located at 3384 Berlin Turnpike, is owned and operated by Dave Hennessey. With more than 30 years in the tech and business fields, Dave left the corporate world to tackle a new challenge: franchising. Dave’s past experience will serve him perfectly to manage this Batteries Plus Bulbs store, as he can apply his skills and knowledge from prior jobs in tech to serve the community and needs of Newington residents.
