Berkshire Bank To Close Newington Branch
The Western Massachusetts bank will close one of its original locations.
NEWINGTON, CT — Berkshire Bank will close its Newington location at 66 Cedar St., according to The Hartford Business Journal. It represents one of the eight branches Berkshire took over when it acquired Connecticut Bank & Trust for $30 million in 2012 and entered the market in Connecticut.
Since then, Berkshire has opened 27 branches in Connecticut.
Berkshire will consolidate the Newington branch with the Rocky Hill branch in January 2021, according to The Hartford Business Journal.

The bank also has locations nearby in West Hartford, Farmington, Glastonbury, and Simsbury.
