Everett Legassey Named Howley Bread Group’s Baker of the Quarter

Howley Bread Group (HBG), a franchisee of Panera Bread, is pleased to announce Everett Legassey of Wolcott, CT as its’ 2017 second quarter Baker of the Quarter. Legassey, a baker at the Newington café, was named the top baker among HBG’s 29 cafes located in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

“We could not be more pleased to recognize Everett’s effort at our Newington café,” said Marie Juergens, General Manager, Newington café/Howley Bread Group. “Everett takes great pride in his craft, and produces amazing baked goods for our Newington café.”

Legassey’s award was announced at the quarterly HBG leadership meeting. Legassey has worked at the Canton café for three and a half years as a certified lead baker trainer. He is a graduate of the Lincoln Culinary Institute, where he majored in baking and pastries.

The quarterly leadership meeting recaps the past quarter’s events, reiterates best practices, and honors employees for a number of accomplishments, including outstanding effort, longevity and community service.
