Free Flu Shots For Military On Veterans Day At AFC Urgent Care
New Britain, Torrington, West Hartford, Danbury & Vernon Locations Protecting Heroes on Nov. 11
American Family Care (AFC) at 135 East Main Street in New Britain is offering free flu shots to active and retired members of the military on Veterans Day in appreciation for their service on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 8 am – 8 pm.
November is the ideal month to receive a flu shot for optimum protection from the flu virus. The flu can lead to life-threatening complications, especially for those with medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and heart disease, During recent flu seasons, between 80% and 90% of flu related deaths have occurred in people 65 years and older.
AFC locations are open Monday through Friday from 8 am-8 pm and weekends from 8 am-5 pm. No appointment is required and care is dispensed with the utmost quality and efficiency.
