How Many Newington Residents Received Coronavirus Vaccine So Far?
State health officials released data for the first time which shows how many residents in each town have been vaccinated for COVID-19.
NEWINGTON, CT — According to the state Department of Public Health, a total of 3,516 Newington residents have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
There are 30,014 Newington residents and 12 percent of them have received their first dose. Newington has 2,931 residents over the age of 75 and 1,288 of them have received their first dose or 44 percent, according to state health officials.
Since the pandemic began in March, Newington has reported 2,160 cases and 96 deaths.
