Man Shot In The Face In Newington
Police are investigating after a man was shot in the face in the early morning hours of New Year's Day.
NEWINGTON, CT — A man was shot in the face in the early morning hours on New Year's Day, according to police. At about 3:30 a.m., Newington police responded to the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain for a report of a gunshot victim.
The victim said he was driving west on Cedar Street when a dark SUV pulled up alongside him and opened fire on his vehicle. The victim was struck in the face and drove himself to the hospital.
Cedar Street was closed for two hours for investigation, police said.
