Newington Christmas Tree Shopping Guide For 2020
Many local Christmas tree providers are taking precautions amid the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure you and your family have a jolly holiday.
Newington, CT — As the ongoing coronavirus pandemic threatens some of America's most well-loved holiday traditions in 2020, it should still be possible to find the ideal Christmas tree for your family this year — and more importantly, do it safely.
At least 25 million real Christmas trees are sold each year across America, and currently, 350 million are growing in all 50 U.S. states. During this unprecedented year, Christmas tree lots and choose-and-cut farms nationwide are taking precautions as the coronavirus pandemic worsens to ensure patrons can select a tree with minimal health and safety risk.
"We highly encourage growers to use these recommendations to develop strategies to protect their workers and customers," the the National Christmas Tree Association said on its website this year, and "wholesale growers should share the recommendations for tree lots with their customers. Having a COVID-19 plan for your business is an imperative."
