Newington Girls to Open LL Basketball Tournament on Road
The Indians are seeded 27th in Class LL, according to the brackets released Wednesday morning.
NEWINGTON, CT — The road to Mohegan Sun starts Monday and Tuesday, as Newington High School and 129 other high school girls basketball teams begin their quests for state championships in the CIAC tournaments.
A 9-11 regular season record gave Newington the No. 27 seed in the Class LL tournament. The Indians will travel to No. 6 Newtown (17-3) Monday at 7 p.m.
