Newington Landfill/Transfer Station Weekend Hours To Resume April 3

Beginning April 3rd the Town’s Landfill/Transfer Station hours will return to Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All residents are required to obtain a valid landfill permit is order to dispose of vegetation at the facility. Permits may be obtained at the Town Highway Garage, 281 Milk Lane or the Town Clerk’s office located at the Town Hall, 200 Garfield St. Residents are reminded leaves and grass are not allowed to be placed at the curbside or placed in the trash or recycling containers. Grass and leaves can be composted or disposed of at the Town Landfill/Transfer Station with proof of residency. Please contact the Sanitation Department with any questions (860)-667-5874.
