Newington Mail Box Thief Sought

NEWINGTON, CT — Police are asking for the public's help to find the person who broke into the mailbox outside of the Newington Post Office and stole mail.

The theft was reported Monday April 29 when postal workers found most of the mail had been stolen. The theft likely happened shortly after 2:30 a.m. on the 29. The box was last emptied Saturday April 27.

Anyone who dropped checks or other forms of payment should contact their bank, according to police.
