Newington Man Indicted In Sex With Juvenile Case: Feds

Christopher Capozza, 39, has been indicted on charges that he engaged in sexual act with a minor.

NEWINGTON, CT — A Newington man has been indicted on federal sex crime charges in Scranton, PA, according to a statement from Acting United States Attorney, Bruce D. Brandler.

Christopher Capozza, 39, was indicted Feb. 3 on charges of transportation with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity and interstate travel with the intent to engage in a sexual act with a minor.

According to the statement, the indictment alleges that between July and October, Capozza traveled to Pennsylvania to engage in a sexual act with a minor. He is also accused of transporting the minor back to Connecticut and to Massachusetts to engage in criminal sexual activity.

The charges are connected to an investigation by several federal agencies. The maximum sentence for these crimes is life in prison.
