
Klaus Guttmann, 92, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Newington, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Veteran's Home and Hospital in Rocky Hill. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Guttmann.
Born in Breslau, Germany, son of the late Hans and Erna (Zepler) Guttmann, he was a Newington resident for over 20 years and also lived in Cape Cod. Klaus honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion in West Hartford and the V.F.W. in Hartford.
A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, he leaves his three children, Brendan Guttmann and his wife Eileen of Brewster, MA, Perry Guttmann and his wife Donna of Kensington, and Lisa Guttmann of NC, five grandchildren, Lindsay Yuill and her husband Daniel, Whitney Harnisch and her husband William, Sydney Guttmann and her fiancé Omar Bardouil, Adam Guttmann and his wife Meaghan and Chloe Guttmann, and four great grandchildren. He also leaves his sister Ursula Korzenik of Bloomfield.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 15th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest privately in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
